The FDA Group requires a Business Development Representative with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on organization, and enhanced multitasking abilities. B2B sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals. 

The ideal candidate has experience researching market trends, developing and leveraging relationships, and using proven business development methods to help develop our business strategy while retaining & expanding the overall & strategic client base. 

The work environment will be fast-paced and therefore it is imperative that this role work in a proactive, high-performing, independent, responsive, and urgent manner. This is a home-based role that can be located near any major city in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
  • Understand the target markets, including company, project, company contacts and which tactics can be used to attract clients
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure that deals moved through the sales cycle to closure
  • Maintain & leverage relationships with current clients and identify new prospects
  • Possess a strong understanding of our services, our competition in the industry and positioning
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors
  • Will require a minimum of 25% travel for meetings with clients and consultants
  • Drive new business through established industry contacts
  • Assist The FDA Group in developing and executing sales plans
  • Develop and execute prospect outreach plan, including cold calls, emails, and prospect visits
  • Drive proposal development based on client needs and company objectives
  • Assist with developing project objectives and SOW

Qualifications and Skills:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE SELLING CONSULTING & STAFFING SERVICES TO PHARMA, MEDICAL DEVICE, BIOTECH, AND COMMERCIAL MANUFACTURING COMPANIES.

  • BA or BS degree
  • Experience within the commercial/manufacturing side of the life sciences industry
  • Five years proven track record in business sales or related market
  • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Dropbox, Slack, and Asana
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Technical understanding required to propose the right consultants for each project
  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
